Is airpods pro waterproof?

Apple recently released AirPods Pro. In addition to the active noise reduction function, some users who like sports will be more concerned about its water and sweat resistance. Can AirPods Pro be worn while swimming? What is the waterproof performance of AirPods Pro?

Apple stated on the AirPods Pro introduction page that AirPods Pro is resistant to sweat and water and is tested under controlled laboratory conditions with IPX4 rating under IEC 60529.

However, AirPods Pro is not waterproof or sweat-proof, and is not suitable for water sports. Secure AirPods Pro

Anti-sweat and water resistance properties are not permanent and may diminish over time. Moreover, anti-sweat and water resistance cannot be reproduced by re-checking or resealing AirPods Pro.

To avoid damage to AirPods Pro, please follow these tips:

Do not place AirPods Pro under water, for example, under a shower or faucet.

Do not swim with AirPods Pro or immerse AirPods Pro in water under other conditions.

Do not place the AirPods Pro in a washing machine or dryer.

Do not wear AirPods Pro in the sauna or steam room.

Do not expose AirPods Pro to high-speed water conditions such as water skiing.

Avoid dropping AirPods Pro or other shocks.

If your AirPods Pro is exposed to liquids due to any of the above:

Wipe the AirPods Pro with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth.

Do not use the AirPods Pro again until it is completely dry, and do not put them back in the charging case.

Do not expose AirPods Pro to soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, perfume, solvents, detergents, sour or acidic foods, insecticides, sunscreens, emollients or hair dyes as these may affect AirPods Pro water seal and acoustic film properties. If your AirPods Pro is in contact with any of the above:

Clean the AirPods Pro with a damp cloth slightly moistened with water, and then dry them with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth.

Do not use the AirPods Pro again until it is completely dry, and do not put them back in the charging case.
